Summary
- Palworld update v0.4.13 fixes lingering bugs in the game.
- The update also increased turning speed for certain flying Pals.
- Despite controversies, Palworld continues to thrive with new content updates.
Developer Pocketpair has issued a brand-new update for popular early access survival game Palworld. Palworld first hit the scene in early 2024 as an early access title on Steam and Xbox. An overnight success, Palworld exploded in popularity and quickly became one of the year's most successful new game releases despite its early access status. Palworld eventually made its way to the PlayStation 5 as well, with gamers on that platform now able to see what all the fuss is about.
Palworld has been a massive hit since its early access launch, but it hasn't been without controversy. From the jump, there were many who pointed out the similarities between some of Palworld's Pals and Pokemon, with Nintendo eventually going after developer Pocketpair, citing its patent for ball throwing mechanics. This lawsuit has seen Palworld change the way players summon Pals, a move that has not gone over well, but Pocketpair has not given up the title and has continued to release significant new updates for the game.

Bastigor is one of the few Pals that do not spawn naturally in Palworld. Breeding is the only way to obtain a Bastigor, and here’s how to do it.
Pocketpair followed up Palworld's initial launch in 2024 with two massive updates. The Sakurajima update added a brand-new island to explore and fresh Pals to capture, while the more recent Feybreak update added all that and much more. Pocketpair is far from done supporting Palworld with new updates, most recently releasing v0.4.13 to the masses. This update doesn't add any significant new content to the game, but it does address lingering issues and fixes bugs.
After downloading the latest Palworld update, players will notice that the turning speed for Xenolord and Frostallion have been increased while in the air. The drop rate of legendary blueprints from the large chests on the Large Oil Rig has also beein increased, while uncommon buleprints have been removed from the large chest loot pool. Bugs causing players to fall under the terrain, Pals to stop generating power, and tower bosses to stop moving have all been squashed by the latest patch.
As of the latest update, Palworld Pals will now return to the player if they get too far away during combat, and they will also no longer move out of the way if the player is aiming a weapon at them. These changes come alongside a host of other bug fixes, so one's Palworld experience should be a lot smoother post-update. Fans can expect many more updates for Palworld in the weeks and months ahead as the game builds to its eventual 1.0 release.
